This September the latest release from our Private Edition range, Glenmorangie Finealta, is launched
It was a over a 100 years ago that The Savoy Hotel, then a bustling hub for London’s Belle Epoque society, first made an order of Glenmorangie Single Malt Whisky. The city at the time was a thriving hotbed of artists, poets and writers, all of who congregated at the Hotel’s landmark American Bar for fun and revelry. Here Glenmorangie flourished as the delicious whisky of choice among the hotel’s patrons and from here, a strong international following blossomed.
This September Glenmorangie celebrates that moment with Glenmorangie Finealta, a new limited-edition expression, part of the company’s award winning Private Edition range.
Glenmorangie Finealta is unlike anything Glenmorangie has produced to date. The whisky has been recreated by Glenmorangie’s esteemed whisky makers from an original recipe, discovered in a distiller’s notebook from the 1900s. It’s set to go on sale this autumn and is already generating huge buzz in the industry.
“It’s a testament to Glenmorangie’s enduring whiskies,” says Dr Bill Lumsden, Head of Distilling and Whisky Creation. “Even in 1903 Glenmorangie was being celebrated for its fine elegant malts. Now, with Glenmorangie Finealta, those brilliant flavours from the company’s past can be enjoyed again.”
