Mulled Morangie

When mulled wine and whisky get together.

 

Ingredients.

Glenmorangie Lasanta
Red wine*
Pressed apple juice
Mulling spices** - cinnamon stick, cloves, anise, vanilla.
Orange halved
Demerara Sugar

*alternatively buy a pre made bottle of mulled wine from your supermarket.
**alternatively buy a mulling sachet and add it to your red wine.

Garnish:
Mulling spices and fruit.

Quantities.

30ml Glenmorangie Lasanta
100ml red wine*
50ml pressed apple juice
Mulling spices** - cinnamon stick, cloves, anise, vanilla.
1 slice (wheel) of orange halved
1 dessert spoon Demerara Sugar (adjust to taste)

*alternatively buy a pre made bottle of mulled wine from your supermarket.
**alternatively buy a mulling sachet and add it to your red wine.

Method.

Pour ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a simmer on low heat.
Do not allow to boil. Pour into a heat proof cup or mug.

Next, we mature it in bourbon and sherry casks for 12 years, transforming it into a mouth-watering odyssey bursting with rich spiciness and sun-drenched sweetness. It radiates with raisins, honeycomb and chocolate-covered hazelnuts lightened by cinnamon breezes. Each time you watch the sunset, you see something different – this is how it is to drink Lasanta.
